General
What is Multitransport and what does it do?
Multitransport (Multi Transport A.Ş.) is an international freight and logistics company headquartered in Bayraklı, İzmir, Türkiye. It offers groupage and full-load road freight, express minivan and lorry van transport, refrigerated, ADR, sea, air, intermodal and project cargo, plus customs clearance and warehousing.
Which countries do you ship to?
We run scheduled departures to 54 countries in 8 regions: Europe, the Middle East, the Turkic republics, the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Benelux, Scandinavia and the British Isles. For destinations outside this list we build a solution through our agency network.
Where do you collect cargo from?
We collect export cargo in and around İzmir and can plan other origins on request. For imports and transit movements the cargo is collected from the shipper’s address abroad.
Do you handle imports as well as exports?
Yes. We handle export, import and transit freight — mainly Europe with our own vehicle fleet, and the rest of the world through our partners.
Groupage, full load and express
What is groupage (part-load) transport?
In groupage (LTL or part-load) transport your cargo is consolidated with other loads heading the same way. You do not need to hire a whole truck for a load that would not fill one — you only pay for the space and weight your cargo uses.
What is the difference between groupage and full-load transport?
In full-load (FTL) transport the truck carries only your cargo straight to destination; in groupage it carries several shippers’ loads. Groupage is more economical for small volumes, while a full load suits cargo that fills the trailer, is heavy or has a tight delivery date.
When should I choose express minivan or lorry van transport?
For urgent, small-volume shipments where delivery time matters more than cost — spare parts holding up a production line, samples or exhibition material. A minivan carries 6 Euro pallets and up to 1,300 kg; a lorry van carries 12 Euro pallets and up to 3,500 kg. We cover every European country except Russia and Ukraine, with an estimated 48–72 hours between Türkiye and Germany.
Can I send a part load from İzmir to the Middle East?
Yes. Our groupage departures to the Middle East are weekly: cargo leaves our contracted warehouses in İzmir, Bursa, İstanbul and Mersin, exits Türkiye through the Cilvegözü border gate and arrives in an estimated 12–14 days depending on border conditions. We carry groupage and full loads to Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Egypt.
Rates and quotes
How is a freight rate calculated?
For road freight the rate is based on the weight, the volume (m³) or the loading metres (LDM) the cargo occupies, whichever is decisive. The route, destination country, cargo type (refrigerated, ADR, out-of-gauge), urgency and customs formalities also affect the price.
What information do you need for a quote?
The transport mode, origin and destination (city, district, country), number of packages or pallets, approximate weight, dimensions and cargo type are enough. The four-step form on our Get a Quote page asks for them in order.
What is the fastest way to reach you?

Documents and customs
Which documents does international road freight require?
The basic documents are the commercial invoice, packing list, CMR consignment note and export declaration. Depending on the destination and the goods you may also need a certificate of origin, an A.TR or EUR.1 movement certificate and product conformity documents; transit movements use a T1 or a TIR carnet.
What is the difference between an A.TR and a EUR.1?
The A.TR is the movement certificate showing that industrial goods are in free circulation under the customs union between Türkiye and the European Union. The EUR.1 proves the origin of goods under free trade agreements. Which one you need depends on the goods and the destination.
What is a CMR?
The CMR is the consignment note based on the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR Convention). It identifies the shipper, carrier, consignee and goods, and the convention sets the limits of the carrier’s liability.
Should I insure my cargo?
We recommend it. Under the CMR Convention the carrier’s liability for loss or damage is limited to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross weight, which may not cover the value of high-value goods. To protect the full value of your cargo we recommend cargo insurance.
Do you help with customs formalities?
Yes. We support the planning of import, export and transit declarations, document preparation and regulatory monitoring, and we flag risks arising from changing foreign-trade and customs rules before loading.
Special cargo
Do you carry temperature-controlled (reefer) cargo?
Yes. We carry cold-chain cargo such as food, pharmaceuticals and chemicals in continuously monitored reefer units, with temperature logging and a cold-chain compliance report.
Do you transport dangerous goods (ADR)?
Yes. We transport dangerous goods in line with international safety rules (ADR by road, IMDG by sea, IATA DGR by air). For a quote, please share the UN number, class, packing group, quantity and safety data sheet (SDS).
Do you handle out-of-gauge or heavy project cargo?
Yes. For out-of-gauge and heavy-lift project cargo and exhibition shipments we arrange special equipment, customs and on-site coordination. At sea, special containers such as open top and flat rack can be used.
