What is express logistics?
In express (dedicated) road freight your shipment travels in a minivan or lorry van reserved for it alone. Unlike groupage transport, the vehicle does not wait for other loads heading the same way to be collected: it leaves as soon as loading is complete and reaches the consignee with no transhipment.
That makes express transport the right choice when delivery time matters more than cost. In the market it is also known as “minivan express”, “speedy” or “panel van” transport, and — for larger vans — “lorry van” transport.
Where do we go, and how fast?
We run express minivan and lorry van transport to every European country except Russia and Ukraine. As an example, estimated transit time between Türkiye and Germany (e.g. İzmir–Munich) is 48–72 hours; we confirm the time for other routes in our quote. We use our own vehicles alongside supplier vehicles.
Our lanes by region: Western and Southern Europe, the Balkans, Eastern Europe, the Benelux, Scandinavia and the UK and Ireland.
Minivan, lorry van or full truck?
The right vehicle depends on the volume, weight and urgency of the load. If you are not sure, send us the dimensions and weight and we will recommend the vehicle.
| Vehicle | Capacity | When to choose it | Typical cargo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minivan (panel van / speedy) | 6 Euro pallets, up to 1,300 kg | Small-volume, few-pallet and very urgent shipments | Spare parts, samples, prototypes |
| Lorry van | 12 Euro pallets, up to 3,500 kg | Urgent loads too big for a minivan but not enough to fill a truck | Palletised production inputs, exhibition material |
| Full truck (FTL) | A full trailer | Loads that fill the vehicle or are heavy | Series production shipments |
| Groupage (LTL) | The space you use | Non-urgent loads that do not fill a truck | Export loads of a few pallets |
When does express transport make sense?
- Risk of a line stoppage: in automotive and manufacturing a missing part can stop a line; spare parts and urgent inputs leave at once.
- Samples and prototypes: when a customer is waiting to approve a sample, speed comes before cost.
- Trade-fair deadlines: stand and exhibition material has to be on site before opening day. For large exhibition loads see our project and exhibition cargo service.
- Contractual delivery dates: when a delay would trigger penalties, the vehicle works for your load alone.
- An alternative to air freight: for European shipments where dimensions, weight or airport transfers make air freight impractical.
How does an express shipment work?
- Request: send us the origin and destination, dimensions, weight and required delivery date through the quote form, by phone or on WhatsApp.
- Vehicle and route plan: our operations desk allocates the right vehicle (minivan or lorry van; one of ours or a supplier’s) and plans the route and driver schedule.
- Loading and documents: the commercial invoice, packing list and CMR are prepared; export customs formalities and any certificates of origin or movement certificates the destination requires (such as A.TR or EUR.1) are planned.
- Transit and tracking: border crossings and delivery are monitored from one operations desk and you are kept informed throughout.
- Delivery: the load is delivered door to door to the consignee.
Customs and documents
International express freight still needs an export declaration and import clearance at destination. We confirm the documents your goods and destination require — commercial invoice, packing list, CMR, an A.TR or EUR.1 movement certificate, and a T1 for transit movements — at the quote stage. For regulation and declarations see our customs clearance page.
