Our experience has been that kids no longer fit in here sometime between the ages of 5 and 9. They either get too tall or too big or both. The seat is rated for 22kg however as these are mainly used onto cargo bikes with inbuilt rear racks, the weight limit is less important than the actual size fit limits.
